Clash of the Colleges | Te Tukinga Kura Tuarua is a fun, fast paced, amazing-style competition that sees students go head-to-head in teams of four, fighting it out to be crowned Champions! Teams are given 5 minutes to attempt each of the 15 hands-on modules, moving in a circuit until all are complete. Modules cover everything from artificial insemination and on-farm health and safety to wool classing and body condition scoring, as well as paper-based modules that cover seeds, weeds and pest identification. Time limitations are in place to ensure The Clash of the Colleges is a great chance for students to get hands-on and experience first-hand what rural life is all about.
